Adult education programs provide basic skills classes to adults with less than a high school education.

  • All adults have the right to an education that enhances their ability to affect positive changes in their lives.
  • All adults have the right to obtain the life skills that they need to become self-sufficient, actively participating members of society.
  • All adults have the right to complete their education through the high school level.
  • Adult basic education provides basic skills instruction in reading, writing, and math to adult learners functioning below the ninth-grade level.

Unemployment claims

To file an unemployment claim, please visit EZARC.ADWS.Arkansas.gov. Questions about unemployment insurance claims may be directed to the UI Hotline: 1-844-908-2178.

1099s

If you received unemployment insurance benefits during the year 2022, you need a 1099 form to file your income tax return. The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services will mail 1099s by January 31, 2023, to the address on file as of January 17, 2023. If you do not receive your 1099 in the mail by February 12, 2023, you may call the UI Hotline to be sure we have the correct address on file. 1099s will not be mailed to updated addresses prior to February 12, 2023. ADWS provides interpretation and translation services, at no cost, for clients who need assistance in accessing and participating in available services and programs. To request an interpreter or translator, please contact your nearest local office.
