AT@Work is an assistive technology service designed to assist Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) counselors to ensure their clients receive the maximum benefit from assistive technology in their quest to achieve educational, employment, and independent living goals. Assessments are designed to identify the appropriate technology that best benefits the client and provides the counselor with the sources and costs for obtaining the recommended technology.
AT@Work provides assistive technology assessment and consultation services regarding ARS clients referred by their counselors to the program. Where possible AT@Work staff complete assessments at a time and place convenient to both the referring counselor and client. Assessments are designed to identify the appropriate technology that best benefits the client and provides the counselor with the sources and costs for obtaining the recommended technology. AT@Work staff can also complete a review of similar benefits to assist the counselor in accessing those funding sources. Training with the client on the correct use of the recommended technology and follow-up services are also provided.
Our program staff includes occupational therapists and assistive technology specialists.
