Before taking the GED® test in Arkansas, you must take and pass the official GED® Practice Test (GED Ready™) at an approved Adult Education Center or GED Testing Center™. If you do not make the minimum required score to go on to take the GED® test, you can enroll in an adult education program in or near your community and receive free instruction to help prepare you to pass the GED® test. GED® study guides are also available in your local library, computer software store, or bookstore.
Additional county authorized for Disaster Unemployment Assistance
On June 24, 2025, Greene County was added to the list of Arkansas counties as a result of an amendment to Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA-4873-DR, announced on May 21, 2025. The Arkansas Department of Commerce, Division of Reemployment is now accepting applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) from individuals in Clark, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Desha, Fulton, Greene, Hot Spring, Jackson, Miller, Ouachita, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Sharp, St. Francis, and White counties whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted due to the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred on April 2-22, 2025.
