During the Covid-19 pandemic, the first online version of the official GED® test was developed. This online version can only be accessed through GED.com. High school diplomas and credentials are easily found when so much is on the Internet. Any other website offering a high school equivalency online that is not through GED.com is not an official GED® and may not be accredited or only accredited by agencies not widely accepted across the country. Students in Arkansas may choose online testing through GED.com, but the convenience will come at the cost of $120.00 total for the four official tests to be paid by the candidate. To subsidize the cost by the State of Arkansas, candidates must test in an official GED® testing center. Online test takers must still pass a Ready test proctored at a local adult education center.
