Mission Statement: Farmworker Appreciation Day celebrates the essential work of farmworkers and a commitment to their well-being. It is a day to recognize, celebrate, and empower those who dedicate their lives to nourishing our communities.
Event Highlights:
- Honoring the Backbone: We will acknowledge and celebrate farmworkers’ hard work and dedication through testimonials of farmworkers who journeyed through Hope, AR.
- Inspiring the Future: We will engage the next generation of farmworkers by highlighting the importance and dignity of the profession through career fairs and educational info sessions.
- Remembering Our Heroes: We will pay tribute to those who have contributed to the industry and are no longer with us through a memorial photo gallery.
- Empowering and Educating: We will provide farmworkers with essential information about best practices, safety protocols, their rights, and available resources to ensure their health and well-being through a resource fair, legal clinics, and health clinics.
- Giving Back: We will express our gratitude by offering our time, support, and appreciation to those who work tirelessly to nourish our communities through volunteer opportunities and a donation drive.
- We cordially invite representatives from local, state, and federal agencies to join us for this meaningful event. Your presence will be a testament to your commitment to supporting the farmworker community.
