DWS, CAPDD partner to open Arkansas Workforce Center in Cabot
LITTLE ROCK - The Department of Workforce Services and the Central Arkansas Planning and Development District partnered to open an Arkansas Workforce Center in Cabot.
The satellite office is located at #1 City Plaza, Suite C and recently opened to better assist customers in the Cabot area.
"We are pleased to open another location that will provide employment services to both employers and job seekers," DWS Director Artee Williams said. "During tough times like these, we want to ensure that both entities have access to the necessary services that will help rebuild our economy."
"We want employers and job seekers to know that we are here to help them with all their employment needs. Whether employers are looking to hire qualified job seekers or when Arkansans find themselves unemployed and just need to search for a new job and/or want to enhance their skills to find a better job, we are here to help." CAPDD Executive Director Rodney Larsen said.
Staff from both agencies will provide various employment-related services at the center. Services include assistance finding a job, helping employers manage their job orders, resume writing, unemployment insurance, Arkansas Career Readiness Certificate assessments, and Workforce Investment Act services for adults, youth and dislocated workers.
Center staff also make referrals to other partner agencies to ensure clients' needs are met.
The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at a later date.
